This year’s All Campus Sing event took place on May 6th in the Grove City College Wolverena. The sisters of Sigma Theta Chi performed a mash-up of “Payphone” by Maroon 5 and “Telephone” by Lady Gaga. Special thanks to our Sig Thet All Campus Sing chair/leader, Rachel Buoni and our talented accompanists, Joshua Tracey and Noah Bartolucci!
Yesterday, May 6th, was our Sigma Theta Chi Parent’s Brunch which takes place annually during the Grove City College Family Weekend. Located in Old Map, actives and their parents ate, mingled and reflected on the sorority events of the past year. Parents were also able to see a sneak peak of the group’s All Campus Sing number, which was performed later that evening.
Yesterday 8 member of the Sigma Theta Chi sorority had the opportunity to participate in United Way’s Day of Caring in Grove City. The event offers volunteers an opportunity to work together to address the current needs in our community, whether that be planting plants in a community garden or going to an older resident’s home to help with house chores.
Congratulations to our 2017 officers! From left to right,Maggie Blume (Treasurer), Rebecca Jones(Secretary), Alexandra O’Brien (President), and Brie Hughes (Vice President).
Yesterday was Bid Day here at Grove City College and we had the privilege of taking 10 perfect baby lambs! Abby Spicher, Lindsey Lanham, Rohanna Fote, Claire Rauf, Lauren Brennan, Megan Hull, Emily Modliszewski, Maggie Millward, Moriah Mosher, and Lexie Funderlich (not pictured)- welcome to the best!
One of our amazing seniors, Nikki Deal is wrapping up her time here at Grove City and graduating early this coming week. Nikki is a psychology major with a Spanish minor, and served as the Sigma Theta Chi secretary during 2016.
Nikki won’t be far away though! She was recently hired to be an in-home family therapist for adolescents and teens on probation at Wesley Spectrum Services in Pittsburgh.
We love you Nikki, and we will miss your cat-loving, Star Wars-obsessed self. ❤
We hosted our last popcorn party of rush last night, the (in)famous Boxers & Blazers party! The girls took photos at the photo booth, made drinks at the hot chocolate bar and got to enjoy a runway show put on by the actives and rushes of Phi Tau Alpha. Based on crowd enthusiasm, Joe Serventi won “Best Legs” and Ben Unger won “Best Walk”.
